Starting thoughts

The plan for many of you is to start the 60:60 experiment from Good Friday. Here are some tips and things to think about:

  • Don't be religious - if you don't remember every hour don't worry. You've probably thought more about God today then normal.
  • Find a system - If an alarm works for you then great. If not maybe post-it notes. Maybe a dot on your watch. Anything that works for you.
  • Stamina not speed - 60 days is a long run. This is about consistency and changing patterns of behaviour. Stick with it.
  • Don't go it alone - If you were walking a marathon it would harder by yourself. Partner with someone else who is doing 60:60 and share your experiences on a regular basis.
  • Share the news - Use the blog to share your thoughts and experiences, even the tough bits. It's not too trivial. Let other's know how its going for you and be encouraged by others too.
  • Listen - Take 40 minutes each week to listen to the Podcast that's available. It will help encourage and guide you.
Lastly let others know you've started by posting to the blog and/or facebook group. Contact me if you dont know how to.

  2. I would like to do it, but am not in a position to wear a watch or have my phone with me during work, so any ideas may be welcome - I might have to resort to praying before work and try to remember each time I go to the loo or have a break? would that be ok, as it is totally inappropriate in the hospital environment to disturb concentration when dealing with peoples drugs....

Obviously when at home, it is a different story bit today was a complete fail as I havent done it at all - maybe I should actually start tomorrow...
